Through September 8 09/02/10 6:22:50 AM
Windy, cool fall weather will settle in behind the rain and thunderstorms.
Showers and isolated thunderstorms will produce another 0.25-0.50" of rain this Thursday (2nd), mostly into the southeast areas of Minnesota and Iowa.
Look for temperatures to be in the 60's to lo 70's Thursday.
As the low pressure intensifies near Lake Superior we'll have strong winds Thursday night into Friday from the NW@15-35mph, which will provide good drying conditions, despite the fact we'll cool down with high's in the 50's and 60's. High pressure builds in for Saturday and Sunday, with lighter winds and sunshine, and moderating temperatures into the 60's mostly Saturday and Sunday Sunday. Low temperatures will be in the 40's Saturday and Sunday morning.
A warm front could trigger a batch of showers and thunderstorms Sunday night into Monday with high temperatures in the 70's and lo 80's. A weak cold front could trigger another batch Monday night, and then later in the week (Thursday and Friday the 9th and 10th) could be wet with heavy rain.
Have a safe day on and off the farm.
